Beautiful sunny beaches and breath-taking parks of Dubai

Beach Attractions
Dubai has lovely, pristine, white sand beaches with Arabian sunshine and the warm turquoise waters of the Arabian Gulf to soothe and gratify your senses. Dubai's main beaches run along Jumeira Road.
Jumeirah Beach Park
Situated on Jumeirah Beach Road next to the Hilton Beach Club, Jumeirah Beach Park spans 12 hectares of land. Azure sea, palm trees, a long, shady stretch of beach, volleyball areas, barbecue sites, food kiosks makes this a popular beach park.
Life gaurds are on duty between 8:00-18:00 (no swimming is allowed after sunset) Saturdays are for women and children only, including boys upto the age of about nine.
Entry fee: Dhs 5 per person & Dhs 20 per vehicle

Park Attractions
Al Mamzar Park
This large attractive park spreads over 90 hectares of ground on the Deira side of the Creek. The four beaches have changing rooms and kiosks selling snacks etc. There are two swimming pools and lifeguards patrol the beaches and pool area. A large amphitheatre near the entrance stages the occasional show and there are plenty of open grassy spaces with paths winding between picnics area and children's playgrounds.
Chalets, with a lounge, small kitchen and barbecue area, can be hired for Dhs. 150-200. Wednesdays are for women and children only (boys aged up to 10 years only).
Entry fee: Dhs.5 per person & Dhs.20 per car, including all occupants.
Pool fees: Dhs.10 per adult & Dhs.5 per child.
Under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Mushrif Park
Located on Al Awir road past the Dubai International Airport, Mushrif park consists of 125 hectares of land. In 1992 a vast area of 400 hectares was added in order to utilize it as a natural forest. It is a huge natural park containing an extensive road system and leisure facilities. It supports a healthy population of Bruce's Scops Owl, which are often conveniently found at night under the street lamps. A number of other interesting species occur, including Orphean Warbler and eastern Black Redstart. Yellow-throated sparrow and hoopoe nest in the park. Ethiopian hedgehog is also widespread.

Swimming fee: Dhs.10 for adults, 5 Dhs. for children

Safa Park
Safa Park is one of the oldest parks in Dubai, originally established in 1975. Facilities include children's play areas, electronic games parlor, rides - ferries wheel, maze, bumper cars and paddle boats, jogging track, tennis courts, volleyball, football and basketball areas, 21 barbecue sites, magnificent waterway, lake and waterfall feature, all set in 64 hectares of lush greenery. It is located between the second interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Wasl Road, opposite Metropolitan Hotel.
Entry fee: Dhs.3 per person.
Timings: 7:30-22:30 daily

Creekside Park
Dubai Creekside Park, occupying more than 96 hectare land, is considered the second largest park in Dubai following the Mushrif Park. The park creates a splendid harmony with the blue water of the creek, the clear sky of Dubai and the greenery of the Creek Club. All these features amalgamate gradually with the high buildings that distinguish the palpitating heart of the bustling city center.
Creekside Park offers large botanical gardens, three helicopter landing pads, fishing piers, 18 hole mini-golf course, jogging tracks, barbecue sites, children's play areas, restaurants, kiosks and an amphiteatre for 1,000 plus people. It also features extensive paths and walkways with special garden areas and a host of recreational facilities. It is located between Al Maktoum and Al Garhoud Bridges on the Bur Dubai side.
Two wheel bikes can be hired for a family and you can have an enjoyable ride around the park. A cable car system has recently been introduced in the park, which gives you a beautiful view of the Creek and Deira areas.

Umm Suqueim Park
Situated in Umm Suqueim, near the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, this park is one of the largest youngster-oriented parks in the city. Of European standard, it offers complete range of games & leisure for children and has facilities for entertainment &recreation.
