Union Properties PJSC (UP), one of the leading property developers in the United Arab Emirates has appointed Ric Birch to produce and direct a thrilling ceremony to launch the identity of the F1 Theme Park brand which will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, January 26 at the Dubai Autodrome in MotorCity. Renowned for producing the best ever Olympic Ceremonies, Ric Birch is a master at creating those magic entertainment moments globally.
“The identity launch of the F1 themed park is a prominent milestone for UP internationally as we have acquired exclusive rights from the Formula One Administration Limited (FOM) to expand the project worldwide, starting with the one in Dubai,” said Simon E. Azzam, CEO, UP. “We are delighted to have worked with global brand company Landor on the design development and to have Ric Birch and his team to lead and direct the unveiling ceremony that will combine the unexpected with fun, speed and excitement, a sample of what is to come when we open the doors on the Formula One park to the world next year.”
Developed by Union Properties in conjunction with Formula One Administration Limited, F1 Theme Park in Dubai will open in 2009 and will be the first theme park of its kind anywhere in the world. The $460 million Dubai development spread over 300,000 square metres allowing guests to get behind the scenes of F1 as never before - 365 days per year. Designed by the world’s best entertainment and theme park experts, F1 Theme Park in Dubai will bring the world of Formula One, past, present and future together in a full service leisure environment.
