Limitless revealed first green buildings in Jordan
- May 13, 2008, 1:23 pm
The 200 metre residential twin towers – the tallest in the country – will be the first in Jordan to meet strict international environmental standards, with a series of eco-friendly initiatives in the design, construction and maintenance of the buildings.
Speaking at PropertyLink 2008, Bahaa Abouhatab, Country Manager for Limitless in Jordan, said: “Sustainability is top of the agenda in all of our developments, and Limitless Towers will take environment-friendly buildings to new levels. For example, water recycling and conservation systems will cut residents’ water consumption by around 75,000 litres each day – a saving of 25% ”
Other green schemes for Limitless Towers include the use of energy-efficient glass, sensor lights, central air conditioning and waste management systems. Combined, they will cut costs by around $2m each year, according to industry figures.
Limitless Towers will be built in Amman’s Abdoun area, home of the capital’s urban development plan, led by the Greater Amman Municipality.
Up to 60 storeys, with more than 550 luxury apartments, the towers will include a 1,000 square metre indoor plaza with retail, entertainment and leisure facilities and 5,600 square metres of outdoor space – a hallmark of all Limitless developments.
Limitless is Diamond Sponsor of PropertyLink 2008, on at Zara Expo Amman, 12-15 May 2008.
