Emaar awards Dh487m contract to Arabtec
- August 21, 2005, 1:55 amDubai-based property developer Emaar Properties has awarded two contracts to Arabtec Construction to build 682 villas at the Arabian Ranches, valued at Dh487 million.
It has issued Letters of Intent to Arabtec for the completion of the design and construction of 594 villas known as Palmera (District 7) at Arabian Ranches to be completed in phases by June 20, 2007 and 88 villas known as Hattan (District 6A), also at Arabian Ranches to be completed by May 1, 2007.
Arabtec Construction; owned by Arab Technical Construction PJSC is currently constructing 1,210 villas for Emaar.
The above orders bring the total number of villas under construction by Arabtec for Emaar to 1,892 villas in addition to the 560 villas it is currently constructing for the Silicon Oasis along the Emirates Road.
Arabtec Construction has already completed and handed over to Emaar more than 2,400 villas in the last two years at Emirates Hills, Emirates Lakes, Meadows and Springs.
Riad Kamal, the general manager of Arabtec Construction, said, “We are proud and honoured to receive such an important order from such a prestigious client as Emaar. This is definitely an indication of the high quality of construction that Emaar has traditionally been seeking from its contractors and we have certainly endeavoured in the past, and will continue to do so in the future, to deliver a quality residential product in line with our client’s expectations.
“Our previous completed product speaks for itself and we are pleased to be associated with Emaar again.”
