Cartoon Surprises is the fifth event from a line up of innovative themed events taking place at The Market, Green Community in Dubai Investments Park, as part of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2006.
It is also the halfway point of The Market’s ten-week participation in DSS, which has offered weekly events, each with a different theme, every weekend from Thursday through to Saturday.
Kicking off with Ice Surprises on the first week, themes so far have included Arts Surprises, Food Surprises and Adventure Surprises. The activity line up - a diverse range of craft workshops and family entertainment in keeping with each week’s theme, has proved extremely popular with visitors since DSS at The Market kicked off on 21st July.
The popularity of DSS at The Market has continued this week with Cartoon Surprises, where visitors have been treated to a host of activities, including colouring, drawing and mask painting, plus the use of different paint mediums such as rubber paints and glitters.
A show featuring everyone’s favourite cartoon characters and a mini-tubby show with games also proved to be major crowd pullers.
‘The embiance has been splendid so far, and the feedback we’ve received from visitors is remarkable!’ says Lynda Soppelsa, Property Manager of Green Community.
And to add even more to the gift basket of all who visited “The Market” Green Community, Friday the 21st of July witnessed the thirtieth draw for the Shopping Escapade in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Amiri - Senior operation & Services coordinator & Raffle committee, Mr. Newton Rebello – Partnership, Mr. Ihab Zaghloul – Mastercard and Mr. Muhammad Shabbar – Advertising Manager of Al Manal Development.
At next week’s Nature Surprises, visitors will be able to enjoy activities such as painting a birdhouse wind chime, making their own barnyard out of sticks, decorating a horse moulding with beads, plus painting workshops. There will also be face painting, a clown show with balloon twisting, and a scavenger hunt – an indoor game for all the family.
Future themes to look out for through to 1st September are Knowledge Surprises, Flower Surprises, Heritage Surprises, and Back to School Surprises.
