Sama Dubai wins ‘World’s Leading Tourism Development’ award

Sama Dubai, the real estate and investment arm of Dubai Holding, today announced it has won the coveted ‘World’s Leading Tourism Development Project’ award for ‘Salam Resort and Spa - Bahrain’, one of the finest integrated, luxury resort developments in the world.
Over 167,000 travel professionals worldwide and nearly 110,000 travel agents across 200 countries participated in this year’s online voting campaign for the World Travel Awards, considered the highest accolade in the international travel and tourism industry.
Sama Dubai’s milestone achievement was celebrated at the 13th Annual World Travel Awards Gala on 20 September in the exotic Turks & Caicos Islands.

Located in the capital city of Manama, the ‘Salam Resort and Spa - Bahrain’ will capture the natural beauty of Bahrain and cater to the highly demanding tourism market worldwide. Built on a long stretch of pristine sandy white beach, the upscale luxury development promises to provide the ultimate in privacy, luxury, entertainment and leisure facilities. The project is to be completed in March 2009.
A citadel of Arabian luxury, the ‘Salam Resort and Spa - Bahrain’ will be situated around a series of inland waterways and a marina. It will feature beautifully crafted hotels, villas, souks, health spas, shops and restaurants and cover an area of 500,000 square metres
