Eight companies bid for Sorouh Real Estate projects

Sorouh Real Estate announced that it has short listed eight companies who will submit bids for the construction of the Golf Gardens project, a prominent real estate project in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Those short listed include Al HABTOOR Engineering, AKTOR Construction., SEIDCO, EMIRATES BELBADI Contracting Co., PIVOT Engineering & General Contracting Co., Abu Dhabi J&P, ARABTEC Construction, and ALI BIN MOUSA & Sons.
Mounir Haidar, CEO of Sorouh Real Estate, said, “We are pleased to receive such a good number of construction companies who have shown their interest in taking part in this phase of the project. This reflects their confidence in Sorouh and its projects.”
“In choosing contractors for Sorouh’s projects we have adopted a stringent policy that is based on corporate credentials and innovative approaches to construction,” Haidar said. “We intend to employ the best available expertise and resources in order to meet the residential and recreational needs for property purchasers in the emirate,” he added.
The tender, which was issued on June 24, 2006, is expected to be awarded by the end of this month. The scope of work will include construction of residential villas, club house, roads and infrastructure, landscaping and all other essential elements of the project. The project is expected to be completed by 2008.
The Golf Gardens will consist of 389 luxurious residential villas and town homes built over 347,000 square meters. It will have a self-supporting infrastructure including convenience stores and a well-developed recreational element, with the Golf Gardens Club located in the heart of the development. The club will feature high-end restaurants, health and fitness centers, swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, parks and gardens.
