Nakheel plans to participate at Cityscape in Asia
- December 19, 2006, 6:15 pm
Nakheel, the UAE’s largest property developer, is looking to participate at Cityscape events in Asia after achieving more than US$100m of sales at Cityscape 2006 in Dubai.
Nakheel was a platinum sponsor of Cityscape 2006, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 4 - 6 December 2006. Key successes included US$20m of land sales at Dubai Waterfront, US$10m of sales of villas at Jumeirah Park, and US$80m of sales of 3 islands on The World development. The World sales followed a site visit to The World for more than 100 Cityscape delegates, including Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump.
Nakheel is looking to expand on the success by exhibiting at other Cityscape events in the coming - in particular Cityscape Asia, which takes place in Singapore from 10 - 12 April 2007, and Cityscape China from 24 - 26 May 2007.
Manal Shaheen, Director - Sales, Marketing & Customer Services said,
‘Cityscape is an excellent way to update the market on our projects, raise brand awareness, and offers good networking opportunities - but ultimately the best measure of the success of any exhibition is seeing a tangible return on investment. With more than US$100 million of business done at the Nakheel stand during Cityscape, we exceeded our expectations.’
‘We are looking to capitalise on this success and intend to exhibit at both Cityscape Asia and Cityscape China. The Asian market is absolutely key for Nakheel, and beyond the Indian sub-continent, we are particularly interested in increasing ties with, and attracting more investment from China, Malaysia, Singapore, Korea and Japan.’
