Dubailand gets ISO 9001:2000 certification

Dubailand, the leading family entertainment destination and member of Tatweer, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification after a comprehensive audit of its management processes by Lloyd’s Register for Quality Assurance, an accredited third party registrar of the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO).
The third among Tatweer entities to receive the coveted ISO certification, the award recognises the development of Dubailand through its innovative marketing approach, and high performance project management and customer relationship management, including customer focused business processes and strategies.
Salem Bin Dasmal, CEO of Dubailand said ‘Dubailand’s fast growth as a world class tourism hub, the organisation’s intention to offer high quality integrated services, and the need to unify internal procedures catalysed its decision to adopt the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.’
He added: “We are extremely proud to receive this global certification as it reflects the hard work and effort of all the departments and each individual in the organization.
‘Although this is a milestone for us as a company, it is just another step forward in our pursuit of excellence through continuous improvement. We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all our suppliers and customers for their consistent support and co-operation, and for sharing our ambitious vision for Dubai.’
Basem Obaid, Manager, Lloyd’s - MEA said: ‘The top management of Dubailand is very clear about its operational goals and strategies. Efficient systems, procedures, ethics, professional environment, and innovativeness of its entire staff are some of the factors that have contributed to this certification process.’
Currently developing a variety of projects, Dubailand will comprise unique theme parks, rides, cultural adventures and other avenues of entertainment, including Aqua Dunya, Snowdome, a Polo and Equestrian Club, Dubai Sports City , City of Arabia, Motor City, Dubai Golf City, Al Sahra Desert Resort, Legends Dubailand and Dubai Great Wheel.
